Media Advisory - UK Parliament to host Annual Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly

Brussels/London, 16 September 2019 – The 2019 annual session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is to take place in London from 11-14 October, hosted by the UK Parliament.

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly is the consultative inter-parliamentary body for NATO, and the Assembly’s current President is UK MP Madeleine Moon.

The Assembly brings together legislators from all NATO member states and is the vital link between NATO and the Parliaments of its member states.

This year’s annual session will see around 600 delegates – including parliamentarians from NATO countries and partner countries, UK ministers and defence experts – gather to discuss international security issues.

The NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg will also be in attendance and will address the plenary sitting on Monday 14 October.
