Brussels/Bratislava, 6 May 2019 - The National Council of the Slovak Republic will host the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Spring Session from Friday 31 to Monday 3 June 2019, Bratislava Castle, Slovakia.
The Session will bring together in Bratislava some 200 parliamentarians from the 29 NATO member countries from North America and Europe as well as delegates from partner countries and observers to discuss current international security issues and the reports prepared by the Assembly’s Committees.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June will be devoted to the meetings of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s five Committees: Political, Defence and Security, Science and Technology, Civil Dimension of Security and Economics and Security. Each Committee will be addressed by speakers from government, academia, NGO’s and NATO.
The Plenary Session on Monday 3 June will be addressed by Madeleine Moon, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and high-level officials from NATO, the Slovak Parliament and Government
All the above-mentioned meetings are open to the press. A draft programme for the media containing names and timings for the speakers and the discussion of the Committee reports is available and regularly updated on the NATO PA website.
